Matti Fagerholm, verdadero nombre de Michael Monroe, reúne en Helsinki a Jan Stenfors (más conocido artísticamente como Nasty Suicide), Stefan Piesnack, Nedo y Peki Sirola, banda con la que montar su arrollador invento: Hanoi Rocks. Desde su creación a 1983 el conjunto ya tenía cuatro álbumes en las tiendas contando con la ya visitada presentación Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks (los otros tres son Oriental Beat, Self Destruction Blues y Back To Mystery City, siendo el último de los nombrados el que entraría en el puesto 87 de las listas del Reino Unido).
